Sharing photos with family
Share photos with family, without the group chat.
Group chats bury photos under messages, and shared folders feel like work. Lumo gives your family one private album where every photo lands in the right place, for everyone.

Why photos get lost in group chats
A group chat is built for talking, so photos scroll away as soon as the conversation moves on. Messaging apps often shrink photos to send them faster. And when someone new joins the chat, they don’t see what came before.
A year later, finding that one beach photo means scrolling through thousands of messages, on the right person’s phone.
One album that everyone adds to
In Lumo, the album is the point. Anyone in the family adds photos and videos from their phone, and they appear for everyone in the order they were taken.
Hearts and comments stay attached to the photo, so the conversation about a photo is always right there with it. When someone new joins, the whole album is waiting for them.

Videos, too
Add videos alongside photos. Videos up to a minute long are free; Lumo Pass adds full-length videos for the whole family.
Sharing one photo with someone outside the family
Sometimes a photo is for one person who isn’t in the album yet. Lumo can make a private link to a single photo. It opens for a short while, then shows only a small preview, so a forwarded link doesn’t keep your photo on show.

Questions
How is Lumo different from a shared album in my photo app?
Lumo is built for a family rather than one person’s library. Everyone in it can add photos, it looks the same for everyone, and it stays private to the people you invite.
Who can see our photos?
Only the people in your family album. Nothing is public, there are no followers, and photos are never shown to anyone outside your family.
What phones does it work on?
Lumo is on iPhone and iPad today. Invite links open on any phone or computer.
Is Lumo really free?
Yes. The album, unlimited photos and videos, inviting family, hearts and comments are all free. Lumo Pass is optional, for unlimited magic, full-length videos and saving originals. Unlimited means unlimited for everyday family use, under fair use.
Can everyone add photos, or just me?
Everyone in the family album can add photos and videos, heart them and comment on them.
