A new baby

Share every baby photo with the family, privately.

The first weeks bring hundreds of photos, and grandparents, aunts and uncles waiting for each one. Put them in one private family album instead of ten group chats: everyone sees them as they arrive, and nobody else does.

Free on iPhone, iPad and Android. Private to your family.

Day three

Set it up before the baby arrives

Start the album during pregnancy and invite the family ahead of time. Bump photos and scan pictures can go in first. On the day, one photo reaches everyone at once, without retelling the news in every chat.

One album, not ten group chats

Photos sent in chats get compressed and scroll away, and every relative ends up with a different set. In Lumo, every photo and video sits in one album, sorted by the day it was taken, with hearts and comments beside each one.

Both parents can add from their own phones, and so can grandparents when they visit with theirs.

Photos in Lumo, sorted by month

Every video, kept whole

First laughs, first bath, first steps: Lumo keeps every video whole, up to 3 GB each. The family can watch the first minute free, and Lumo Pass plays every video in full.

Sharing long videos

Private while they’re small, and as they grow

Nothing in Lumo is public. There are no followers, no search and no ads, so your baby’s photos are seen by family and nobody else. Photos are encrypted in transit and at rest.

  • Only invited family can see photos
  • No ads, and we don’t sell your data
  • Turn the family code off or remove someone at any time

Cards from those photos, when you want them

For a birth announcement or a thank-you, Lumo Magic turns a photo into a card in one tap, with no prompt to write. It runs only when you ask, and the original photo stays as it was.

Questions

Who can see our photos?

Only the people in your family album. Nothing is public, there are no followers, and photos are never shown to anyone outside your family.

How does Lumo keep our photos safe?

Photos are encrypted in transit and at rest, and only signed-in members of your family album can open them. Invite links stop working after 30 days, a family code only asks to join, and you can turn the code off or remove someone at any time. There are no ads, and we don’t sell your data.

Can both parents add photos?

Yes. Everyone in the family album can add photos and videos, heart them and comment.

Does Lumo use AI on our photos?

Only when someone in your family asks. Lumo Magic runs when someone taps it on a photo: that one photo is sent to OpenAI or Google to make the new picture, which is saved next to the original. The rest of the album isn’t sent anywhere for AI, and the original stays exactly as it was. More in our privacy policy.

Is Lumo really free?

Yes. The album, unlimited photos and videos, inviting family, hearts and comments are all free. Lumo Pass is optional, for unlimited magic, full-length videos and saving originals. Unlimited means unlimited for everyday family use, under fair use.
