A Christmas card maker that starts with your photo

Most card apps start with a template and ask you to squeeze your photo into it. Lumo starts with your photo: the people stay as they are, and a winter frame of pine, red berries, pinecones and snowflakes is drawn around them.

There is nothing to drag, resize or type. The card is saved next to the photo it came from, and the original stays as it was.

Pick the photo together

Everyone in the family album can add their favorite photos from the year, and anyone can make the card. Hearts and comments make it easy to choose.

Add your own words

Lumo makes the frame; the words are yours. Write “Merry Christmas”, the family’s names or a line about the year in the message you send it with, or by hand on the back of a print.

Send it or print it

Save the card to your phone and send it in a message, or print it at home or at a print shop. Lumo makes the card as a picture; it doesn’t print or post cards for you.

When you can make it

Holiday card appears in Lumo’s Magic from mid-November to early January, in time for Christmas and the New Year.

Cards for the rest of the year

Birthday cards, thank-you cards and postcards come from the same photos.

Questions

Is there a Christmas card in Lumo?

Yes. In the app it’s called Holiday card: a snowy frame of pine and red berries that suits Christmas and the whole holiday season. It appears in Magic from mid-November to early January.

Can I add “Merry Christmas” or our names?

Add your words when you send or print the card: in the message, or by hand on the back. For a card that carries your own short message, try a postcard.

Does magic cost anything?

Each piece of magic uses a few flowers, Lumo’s in-app credits. Lumo Pass makes magic unlimited for the whole family.

Can you print and mail the cards?

No. Lumo makes the card as a picture that you can print or send yourself.

Is Lumo really free?

Yes. The album, unlimited photos and videos, inviting family, hearts and comments are all free. Lumo Pass is optional, for unlimited magic, full-length videos and saving originals. Unlimited means unlimited for everyday family use, under fair use.
