Questions
- Are my photos uploaded anywhere?
- No. Your browser draws the card on your device. Your photos are never sent to Lumo or anyone else, and they’re gone when you close the page. There’s no sign-up and no cookie.
- Is it free?
- Yes. Make as many cards as you like. A small “Made with Lumo” line sits under the photos, and you can turn it off.
- What is a Best Nine?
- A year-end post of your nine favorite photos in a 3 × 3 grid, popular in Japan as ベストナイン. Most Best Nine makers take the photos from one person’s Instagram. This one uses the photos on your phone, so it can show your whole family’s year.
- How do I send it to the family chat?
- On a phone, tap Share and pick WhatsApp, iMessage or another chat. Or download the JPEG and send it like any photo. It’s 1080 × 1350, the portrait size Instagram uses, so it shows in full.
- Can I use fewer than nine photos?
- Yes. With fewer photos, they get bigger and still fill the square, so there are no empty spaces. Nine makes the classic 3 × 3.
- What is Lumo?
- Lumo is a private family photo album. Everyone in the family adds their photos to one album that only the family can see, with no followers, no feed and no ads. It’s free on iPhone, iPad, Android and in a web browser.
WhatsApp, LINE, KakaoTalk, WeChat, Instagram and iMessage are trademarks of their owners. Lumo is not affiliated with them.
